Covid-19 Business Continuity Plan Update

The following is an update from Peter Hayman, Director of P J Hayman & Company Limited, responsible for arranging and providing Trackday Insurance.

In my 30 years in Travel Insurance, I have never known a time like the present. The Ash Cloud in 2010 created havoc for travellers and insurers alike – we thought that was a catastrophic event at the time. COVID-19’s impact has far surpassed this with tragic consequences, while devastating the travel industry and affecting each of us personally and financially.

Many of you, our customers, have expressed a continuing desire to travel when this is over. Indeed, travel will be very different for some time and we will all have to adapt. Insurers will be by no means exempt. The insurance industry will be called upon to respond by redeveloping policies, ensuring that overseas locomotion can be carried out in confidence. Insurance 4 Trackdays will continue to cover you for emergency medical and repatriation costs if you are taken ill abroad.

On the operational side, my team continues to work to our Business Continuity Plan which involves departments working remotely but with access to all of our systems and infrastructure. We will do our utmost to maintain the same level of service, even during these challenging times.

Wherever possible, we ask that you contact us by email although departments will also be available by calling the usual telephone numbers. Please also check this website for regular updates.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these challenging times.
